Ash grew up in Zimbabwe, qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce in South Africa and established her accounting career in London. She now lives in Perth, Australia.
Ash has spent 16 years navigating the intricacies of third sector accounting in the UK and kept coming across a recurring problem: finance systems are often out of date and too complex for staff to use, whilst reports are meaningless to management and trustees.
Ash witnessed time and again that when reality is not reflected in monthly finance reports, it is impossible for organisations to make good strategic decisions.
